Bendy
wooden stool

Academic Project: wood Course
Materials: wood, rope
Technique: Wooden bending, Crochet
bendy
This minimalist stool explores steam-bent wood as both a structure and a visual language. Each leg is formed by steaming and bending solid wood over a custom mold, resulting in a precise, repeated curve that highlights the material’s natural flexibility.
The stool is built from three identical bent-wood units, bolted together. At the center, a hand-knitted rope element ties the pieces into a “floating” seat, adding softness and tension.
